Joined Nov 13, Messages I have tried to install the same printer on a Windows 10 Pro computer but without success. Can you suggest the correct procedure for the installation on Windows 10 Pro including all the necessary drivers.

I have had a lot of time consuming domestic issues to deal with. Thank you for the information supplied by both of you. Using this information I have successfully installed the Epson SX4i5 inkjet printer on my computer using Windows 10 Pro. The printer is fully functional and works well in all respects. However there are a few unexpected anomalies. In Devices and Printer :- 1. The printer icon is greyed out and the familiar default printer green tick is missing.

Hello Macboatmaster Yes - the printer icon is greyed out and as stated the printer icon does not show the green default tick As stated right clicking this icon gives access to the menus and settings as usual.
The setting for default printer is ticked but does not show on the icon. The printer works well in all respects so I haven't altered anything. In Device And Printers the status indicates that the printer is not connected but it obviously is since the printer is working in all respects Regards Flynne. I expected that one of the others would be shown as the default printer If all is working following your installation of the drivers or rather Windows installation of the drivers - on the links I sent you in post 3 I would tend to leave it as is.
